Robert Lautner is the writing name of Mark Keating.
As Mark Keating he has written four novels featuring the piratical adventures of Patrick Devlin in the 18th century, known as The Pirate Devlin series which has been translated and published internationally.
His first literary novel writing as Robert Lautner was the critically acclaimed Road to Reckoning followed by The Draughtsman which was shortlisted for The Sir Walter Scott Historical Fiction prize.
His latest novel, Quint, published in 2024 for the 50th anniversary of the Peter Benchley novel follows the life of the character from JAWS.
Both the Road To Reckoning and Quint have been optioned for film.
Robert is a huge JAWS and movie buff!

I hope you get your other novels published although I only finished the Western and frankly you seem hard work. I sometimes wonder about novelists who despise their `Daily Mail` readership., but I guess you people can`t help yourselves.

Hmm… doesn`t write, doesn`t blog…glad you`re not my boyfriend, but Quint still sounds like a timely novel for times of shark-infested custard. Will it ever be published?
